Number of landlords selling up rises by nearly 13% in four months

Nathan Emerson, CEO of the estate agents trade body Propertymark, has said the private rented sector has been “invisibly buckling” under increasing pressure.

He added if the sector doesn’t work for a landlord “they will simply sell, meaning there’s one less home for a tenant”.
